Steerable Airship of the German aviation pioneer Hermann Wölfert in 1896.

On 20 May 1896 he set up the first altitude record for airships with 1,940 meters.
Wölfert (Leipzig bookseller Dr. Friedrich Hermann Wölfert 1850-1897) died in the crash of his new airship Germany on 12 June 1897 at the Tempelhof field in Berlin. Not far from the crash site since the 4th August 1930 named the Wölfertstraße after him.
