Potato grater
Antique Potato Grater or Strainer from Germany around 1920.
These graters, were used and are still in use to rub potatoes to mash. This then potato pancakes or the famous potato dumplings were made.
In this model, the material stands strong in the foreground and looks very decorative. The grater is made of brass which was very unusual, because this metal is relatively soft. The handle is made of stamped aluminum, wherein the rounding is soldered on top of the rectangular frame.
